THE MILOU

The Milou is an elegant heel with presence — inspired by a vintage 70s Dior boot and designed to instantly elevate an outfit. Its confident silhouette and softly elevated platform add height while keeping the shoe balanced and wearable. Smooth leather and a refined shape give The Milou a dressed feel without tipping into formal, making it easy to rely on for both everyday looks and evening styling.

Like all Blankens shoes, The Milou is crafted by hand in a small, family-run factory in northern Portugal. We use European leather sourced from Gold Rated Leather Working Group tanneries, ensuring high quality, responsible sourcing, and a lower environmental impact.

At Blankens, we are a small group of women designing shoes for our own lives. We wear and test every style ourselves, carefully working through fit, function, and feeling — making sure each shoe has a clear role in the wardrobe. We make the shoes that make the outfit — and they are comfortable too.

The Milou is a women’s heeled leather ankle boot made in smooth black leather with a softly rounded toe and a slightly elevated platform. The design features a stable block heel, a clean ankle-high shaft, and a side zipper for easy entry. The leather upper has a subtle sheen and is paired with a leather lining for comfort. The leather sole is finished with a rubber insert for added durability and grip. Inspired by a 1970s boot silhouette, The Milou balances vintage character with modern proportions.
