About Blankens

Blankens was founded in Sweden in 2014 by fashion journalist Cecilia Blankens with a simple idea: to create the perfect shoes and bags — timeless pieces that combine Scandinavian style with real-world wearability.

What started as Cecilia’s vision has grown into a collective of fashion-minded women, all dedicated to designing shoes and bags that never compromise on comfort, quality, or style. Our pieces are made to be the most versatile stars of your wardrobe — the ones you reach for again and again.

For women, by women
We are an independent, women-owned company built on the belief that good design should be accessible without cutting corners. Looks matter, of course — but so do fit, feel, and the way a product is made. That’s why we design with longevity and everyday practicality in mind.

Handmade in Portugal
Every Blankens piece is crafted in small, family-run factories in Portugal, a country renowned for its shoemaking heritage. Here, artisanal skill meets modern responsibility: the factories run on 100% renewable energy, and all products are made under strict EU environmental standards.

We source our materials within Europe, using chrome-free leather, vegetable-tanned leather, and other eco-conscious materials whenever possible. Sustainability is an ongoing process, and we are committed to improving every step of the way.

A Swedish heart
Blankens is based in Stockholm, where our flagship store welcomes customers from near and far. Our warehouse is also located in Sweden, and we ship climate-smart through DHL to minimize our footprint.

A growing community
Since 2014, Blankens has grown organically with a loyal customer base across Europe. We believe profit should never come before purpose. Instead, we focus on doing things right: creating high-quality products at fair prices, producing only what we sell, and keeping close connections with our customers.
