MEET ANNA SÖDERBERG
Meet Style Icon Anna Söderberg - the film teacher who wowed us with her unique style and cool looks when we first saw her in the Blankens showroom.
My name is Anna Söderberg and I have the joy of working what I love most - film. For many years now I have been a filmteacher at Stockholm's oldest and finest cinema Zita. Here I have the pleasure of working together with people who, like me, are passionate about movies. I lecture about film and media: film as an art form and it’s aesthetics, dramaturgy, as well as the characteristics of different film genres. My audience is mostly children and young people but once in a while also adults. These filmlectures can also be about all things that fits within a film's universe, in short like all great art, it can be about what it is to be human. It's a form of philosophizing combined with a training in visual literacy. What I like most about this is getting togther with people and sharing all the fascinating reflections that a film experience can trigger. At home it's music, music, music - my husband, my son and my two daughters who no longer live at home - are all professional musicians.

- What does shoes mean to you?
For me, shoes are the most important item when creating a look. With the right shoes on everything looks and feels great.

- 3 must haves for you in your closet?
A comfy cashmere sweater, a blazer and an oversized coat.

- Do you have any styling tips when putting together your outfit for the day?
I'm very intuitive. I just go with what makes me feel fabulous for the day. For me it's all about comfort, if I feel comfortable and free when wearing something I know it's right.

- What is your favorite shoe (heel, sneaker, sandal etc.)
I'm a boots person! Boots just fit my style. I like the edge that a good pair of boots can give an otherwise quite soft or casual look.
- Do you have any favourite Blankens shoe?
I have lots of favorites from Blankens! Of course The Brenda, it’s nice to have both the ones in the serpent pattern (The Brenda Serpent), they are so fun, and the black ones (The Brenda Black) that just go with everything. I have a pair of The Blixa, black, with a zipper and a little elevation, that I have worn almost everyday since I bought them. Also I have to mention The Alexia, I have both the low and the high version, and they keep my feet warm during the long cold Swedish winter.
