Like all Blankens shoes, The Alexia High is designed in Stockholm and carefully crafted in a small, family-run factory in Portugal. The leather is eco-certified and sourced from European tanneries working according to Leather Working Group standards, ensuring responsible production and high material quality. The boot is made with water-resistant leather and a hidden waterproof membrane that protects your feet from rain, slush, and wet ground, while the wool lining naturally regulates temperature and breathability.
At Blankens, we are a small group of women designing shoes for our own lives. The Alexia High is a boot crafted in smooth black eco-certified leather with a subtle sheen. It features a wool-lined interior for warmth and comfort, a water-resistant membrane for weather protection, and practical leather handles at the shaft for easy pull-on. The boot is set on a sturdy rubber sole with good grip, offering stability on wet and uneven surfaces while maintaining a clean, timeless silhouette suitable for everyday wear.

By cleaning, conditioning, and protecting the leather, you preserve its suppleness, prevent cracks, and maintain its natural shine. Think of it as skincare — for your most trusted companions. We recommend using a protective spray, such as the Water Proofer, before first wear and reapply regularly to guard against moisture and stains.
Don't forget the inside. Refresh the insole by cleaning it with The Foam Cleaner.
We recommend storing them in a cool, dry place when not in use, with a shoe tree or paper stuffing to maintain shape. Avoid prolonged exposure to moisture and direct heat.
The inner sole length is measured from heel to toe. Add a bit of extra space for the feet. For shoes with a pointed toe, keep in mind that your foot will not extend all the way into the pointed end.
