    The Ambion is designed to bring a bold, weather-ready attitude to your everyday wardrobe without sacrificing a single ounce of style or comfort. This ruggedly chic ankle boot combines the soft texture of premium surface-treated black leather with an extra-durable, coated mudguard wrapper—known as Gomato—hugging the outsole to shield against dirt and dampness. To give you that extra layer of seasonal confidence, the surface of the upper leather has been specially treated to help repel moisture, while the leather on the sole also features a protective coating to guard against damp city streets. A short, functional zipper at the back ensures effortless entry while maintaining a clean lace-up aesthetic at the front, beautifully accented with patterned utility laces. 

    Like all Blankens shoes, The Ambion is handcrafted in a small, family-run factory in northern Portugal. We conscious production, ensuring that all leathers and linings used in the shoe are certified by the Leather Working Group (LWG)—the global standard for environmental excellence in tanneries. The thoughtful combination of surface-treated leather, a protective sole coating, and the Gomato mudguard wrapper ensures that this boot is built to withstand city pavements and countryside walks alike. This is thoughtful craftsmanship made to endure, designed to look incredible season after season.

    The Ambion is a women’s weather-ready ankle boot combining heavy-duty utilitarian function with a contemporary fashion profile. It features an upper crafted from premium LWG-certified black leather with a weather-defending surface treatment, paired with a smooth Gomato-coated mudguard framing the base and a coated leather sole detail. Built with a sturdy, deep-tread rubber lug sole for excellent traction, it incorporates a functional back zipper with a fabric pull tab alongside a traditional lace-up front featuring patterned multi-colored eyelet laces. Merging high-utility outdoor elements with an urban aesthetic, The Ambion delivers an optimized, protective everyday walking experience for colder, wetter seasons.
