MEET SUSAN STJERNBERGER
Susan Stjernberger, also known as @styleinscandinavia on Instagram, works in tech — and in her free time she’s a video content producer, stylist, and freelance journalist. During fashion weeks, you’ll find Susan outside the shows chatting with stylish guests, spotting trends, and capturing the electric atmosphere.
And while we had her, we seized the moment to talk about the only thing that truly matters… fashion.
When putting together a look, what part do shoes play in your style?
For me shoes act as both a functional necessity and a statement piece. They anchor the look. Shoes complete the outfit, set the tone, and often define whether a look feels intentional or accidental.
What’s the most “you” outfit you’ve ever worn?
It’s difficult to say which look feels the most me. It’s all about the occasion, season and how I’m feeling when I put my look together. I can say that rock n roll has always been an influence since I grew up in the 70s and 80s.
Any go-to style rituals or golden rules you swear by when putting together a look?
My main rule in putting together a look either for me or when styling is you have to feel comfortable and good in it. Don’t wear something that doesn’t feel you. It will show.
What’s your relationship with trends and how do they influence (or not influence) your wardrobe choices?
If I like a trend like wearing scarves as belts then I try it but add my own flair to it. I normally don’t follow trends as they are fleeting. I stick to basic looks but always add a twist of your own.
If you could swap closets with anyone for a week, who would it be?
If I could swap closets with anyone then it would have to be Issie Blow. She was so unique and creative in her looks. She turned fashion into art. Her hats functioned as emotional armor, a tool to shape how she was perceived—and sometimes, how she felt. That’s how I feel about fashion.
One style, FW25. Which Blankens piece are you claiming?
