Like all Blankens shoes, The Teddie is handcrafted in a small, family-run factory in northern Portugal. We work with high-quality, responsibly sourced European suede from Gold Rated Leather Working Group (LWG) tanneries, ensuring strict environmental standards and a production process with lower chemical and water impact. The rich brown suede upper is carefully selected for its exceptionally soft nap, depth of color, and natural flexibility. This is thoughtful craftsmanship focused on longevity, intentional design, and pieces that look beautiful while getting better with every single wear.

The Teddie is a women's minimalist flat slip-on shoe crafted from premium LWG-certified European brown suede. Characterized by a high-vamp, glove-like upper and a softly squared toe, it features an unstructured, ultra-flexible build that allows for natural foot movement and effortless packability. The interior is fully lined with breathable leather, paired with a lightly cushioned insole, and set on a thin, low-profile flexible rubber-mix outsole for a flat, stable, and highly tactile walking experience. Merging an organic, relaxed aesthetic with subtle tailoring cues, The Teddie serves as an optimized, comfortable foundation for versatile casual or office wardrobes.
Treat your shoes to make them last longer! Regular care keeps your shoes beautiful, soft, and strong. By cleaning, conditioning, and protecting the leather, you preserve its suppleness, prevent cracks, and maintain its natural shine. Think of it as skincare — for your most trusted companions. A small ritual that makes a big difference, keeping your Blankens favorites fresh and ready for every season.
We recommend using a protective spray, such as the Water Proofer, before first wear and reapply regularly to guard against moisture and stains.
Don't forget the inside. Refresh the insole by cleaning it with The Foam Cleaner.
We recommend storing them in a cool, dry place when not in use, with a shoe tree or paper stuffing to maintain shape. Avoid prolonged exposure to moisture and direct heat.
The inner sole length is measured from heel to toe. Add a bit of extra space for the feet. For shoes with a pointed toe, keep in mind that your foot will not extend all the way into the pointed end.
