Like all Blankens shoes, The Amal Boot is handcrafted in a small, family-run factory in northern Portugal. We use responsibly sourced European leather from Gold Rated Leather Working Group tanneries, ensuring high-quality materials and responsible production with a lower environmental impact. The glossy leather upper is carefully selected for its beautiful shine and durability, while the moccasin stitching and tassel details are finished by hand. This is thoughtful craftsmanship designed to last and to age beautifully over time.

The Amal Boot is a women’s ankle boot crafted in premium black glossy leather with a softly structured shaft. The rounded toe is framed by hand-stitched apron detailing, while a leather tassel sits across the vamp for added character. A zipper at the back allows easy entry while keeping the side profile clean. Inside, a sumptuous black shearling lining provides warmth and comfort during colder months. The boot is finished with a sturdy black rubber sole with deep tread for grip and durability. Combining the relaxed feel of a loafer with the structure of a winter boot, The Amal Boot is designed for everyday wear through the colder seasons.

By cleaning, conditioning, and protecting the leather, you preserve its suppleness, prevent cracks, and maintain its natural shine. Think of it as skincare — for your most trusted companions. We recommend using a protective spray, such as the Water Proofer, before first wear and reapply regularly to guard against moisture and stains.
Don't forget the inside. Refresh the insole by cleaning it with The Foam Cleaner.
We recommend storing them in a cool, dry place when not in use, with a shoe tree or paper stuffing to maintain shape. Avoid prolonged exposure to moisture and direct heat.
The inner sole length is measured from heel to toe. Add a bit of extra space for the feet. For shoes with a pointed toe, keep in mind that your foot will not extend all the way into the pointed end.
