Designed in Stockholm and crafted by hand in a small, family-run factory in Portugal, The Celeste Shearling is made using responsibly sourced leather from European tanneries certified by the Leather Working Group. The shoe is lined with natural shearling that adds softness and insulation, making it ideal for colder days. Built with care, intention, and longevity in mind — this is a shoe designed to stay relevant season after season.

The Celeste Shearling was created from our own wardrobes and the quiet gaps we kept noticing: the need for a shoe that feels cozy and relaxed without losing its polished look. It works just as naturally as an indoor companion as it does stepping outside for errands, meetings, or a walk through the city. A favorite when comfort is essential, but style still matters.

 

The shoe features a smooth black leather upper paired with a soft natural shearling lining that frames the opening and surrounds the foot in warmth. Finished with classic loafer detailing and set on a durable real rubber sole for stability, grip, and everyday wear. The softly shaped silhouette keeps the look timeless while the shearling adds texture and character — making it a dependable cold-season staple.

COMFORT AND FIT

Fits true to size. The shearling lining may feel snug at first, then softens and molds to the foot. If you are between sizes, size up; if that feels roomy, add a wool insole.
MATERIAL

We use only European leather from tanneries rated Gold by the Leather Working Group. The upper is smooth black leather with a natural shearling lining for warmth. It has a durable real rubber sole with reliable grip.
CARE

Treat your shoes to make them last longer! Regular care keeps your shoes beautiful, soft, and strong. By cleaning, conditioning, and protecting the leather, you preserve its suppleness, prevent cracks, and maintain its natural shine. Think of it as skincare — for your most trusted companions. A small ritual that makes a big difference, keeping your Blankens favorites fresh and ready for every season.

We recommend using a protective spray, such as the Water Proofer, before first wear and reapply regularly to guard against moisture and stains.

Don't forget the inside. Refresh the insole by cleaning it with The Foam Cleaner.

We recommend storing them in a cool, dry place when not in use, with a shoe tree or paper stuffing to maintain shape. Avoid prolonged exposure to moisture and direct heat.
MEASUREMENTS

The inner sole length is measured from heel to toe. Add a bit of extra space for the feet. For shoes with a pointed toe, keep in mind that your foot will not extend all the way into the pointed end.

How to use these measurements
Insole length is measured from heel to toe. Leave a little room at the front: boots may feel more comfortable with a little extra space, while loafers usually fit best with less. Pointed styles extend beyond where the toes sit, so the pointed tip does not provide extra room for the toes. If you are between sizes, a thin insole can help create a half-size. For closed heels, a half insole can fine-tune the fit.
