Like all Blankens shoes, The Hana is designed in Stockholm and produced in a small, family-run factory in northern Portugal. The leather is sourced from European tanneries certified by the Leather Working Group, ensuring responsible practices and high material standards. Each pair is made with care and time, focusing on longevity, function, and everyday wear — shoes meant to stay with you, season after season.
At Blankens, we are a small team of women designing shoes for our own lives. We test every style ourselves — walking, standing, traveling, living — making sure each shoe earns its place in the wardrobe. The Hana is one of those styles we keep by the door: dependable, warm, and easy to style, yet strong enough to carry an outfit on its own.
The Hana is a women’s platform loafer crafted in washed brown leather with a deep, slightly burnished tone that adds character and softness to the surface. The upper features a classic loafer construction with a rounded almond-shaped toe and clean apron stitching. Lined in warm, natural wool that wraps the foot for insulation and comfort. Set on a chunky black rubber sole with a ridged profile that provides grip, stability, and elevation while maintaining flexibility for everyday movement. A warm, structured loafer designed for cold days, long wear, and effortless styling.

By cleaning, conditioning, and protecting the leather, you preserve its suppleness, prevent cracks, and maintain its natural shine. Think of it as skincare — for your most trusted companions. A small ritual that makes a big difference, keeping your Blankens favorites fresh and ready for every season.
We recommend using a protective spray, such as the Water Proofer, before first wear and reapply regularly to guard against moisture and stains.
Don't forget the inside. Refresh the insole by cleaning it with The Foam Cleaner.
We recommend storing them in a cool, dry place when not in use, with a shoe tree or paper stuffing to maintain shape. Avoid prolonged exposure to moisture and direct heat.
The inner sole length is measured from heel to toe. Add a bit of extra space for the feet. For shoes with a pointed toe, keep in mind that your foot will not extend all the way into the pointed end.
